upcoming Reunion for 2008 from Jack Paugh
Hello All,
I am sorry for not getting the potential response for the reunion. Several things have taken place since the first announcement.
First of all the information I received did not appear to have a lot of enthusiasm of having another reunion. I can very well understand because of the gas situation, the turn of the economy, and if we still want to have a reunion PLEASE let me know your response NLT 15 June 2008 I must have at least 30 rooms.
Second, I had planned on ordering Caps for those that attend the reunion. The caps will have the following information:
The Polar bear patch in the center, around the top of the patch, WILDWOOD STATION, on the left of the patch a small U.S.FLAG, on the right stacked over dates 1953, 1959, below the patch Kenai, Alaska, and below that U.S. ARMY. A sample in Attachment #2 but the colors are not the same as the original.
In the event we do not have a reunion, I have a number of caps that I can send via U.S mail. I think these caps are very well made and very nice embroidery. They will be sold on a FIRST come First Served basis. I will have to add additional cost of boxes, postage, and the cost of each cap is going to be $12.25 inclusive. If I run out of the caps I can reorder more but I don’t think we will get the same price and there would be a minimum of Six (6) dozen.
I will look forward to your response for the reunion and if you are interested in purchasing a cap.
The Patch “US Army Alaska” will be the same color (Blue background, white bear, yellow star, black nose, red tongue.
We have Seventy (70) Black hats with Gold/yellow lettering
Eight (8) Navy Blue (hats) with Gold/yellow lettering
Eight (8) Khaki with Blue lettering
