Hi All: I commanded the STRATCOM Facility that moved to Wildwood Station in June of 1959. Spent two years there with my wife and children (one born while we were assigned there). Good to see your site! GREAT WORK!!!

My father was Norman Sull who was stationed at Wildwood around 1958-1959. He was on trick two if I recall correctly. He had fond memories of his time and the people there. He told us many stories about security procedures, fishing, bears, and making tuna fish sandwiches. He passed away April 16, 2008 at his home in Willoughby Hills, OH. I would love to hear to any memories that anyone has who knew him then. My e-mail is msull2 at aol dot com. Thank you.

Hey Andy, how come I've never heard back from you?? To anyone else that served at Wildwood during and after the earth quake. I'd like to know if any of the M.P.s from that era ever look at this site?? Does anyone know or remember Sft. Maj. Tom Folk or any of his family members?? Do you remember the old Rig Cafe? Well for those of you that haven't been back to Alaska since you served here, Kenai is like a almost big city, and Soldota is a full blown City. Nothing is like it was. Everything is tourist and money, money, money! Come buy a T-shirt, or some real moose nuggets. The good old days are gone, even Wildwood.it's a prison now. I've been up here over forty years now and would be happy to answer any questions anyone might have. I will say this, one thing that will never change, is the BEAUTY of Alaska.
